Goals!
Now that I have a little bit of visibility on where I'll live in 2018 and 2019, I was able to make some plan to return to derby! I decide to set goals, and went with a laid back approach based on the system we use with the men's national team. It's laid back in the sense that I don't stick with a strict 'smart' system: not all my goals are Specific, Measurable, or Time bound. I did make sure they'd be Achievable and Realistic, and set them using a rough time line we also use for our team. Here is the detailed process I went through: First I targeted a life long objective and a Big Hairy Audacious Goal: -Being functionally fit and healthy for as long as possible, -Playing at a specific high level roller derby. I t hen build the picture of what I think both things look like and require from me, mostly in term of process goals rather than outcomes.
