Week 2 - 29.05-04.06.2017
Monday
Skating
45min, mostly focused on backward skating and hockey stops. My awesome assistant coach Auriane made me a great program, and I was excited to start with it, but boy was it challenging. I forgot just how sweaty and demanding cardio wise even the simplest skating drills can get! It was fun though, and I'll try to fit in an other session this week. Some knee pain already but let's see tomorrow.
Food wise an okayish day without breakfast, but consistent and diverse lunch, a nice smoothie and meal before skating a up for a little sandwich and banana before bed.
Tuesday
Program 15 WO2
Good morning workout almost alone at the gym. Did run by my worst ever set of deadlifts ever to finish with form wise, but hey some days it's like that! Happy with the push press, I'll grab that 30kg next week! Lunges and corner bar row went well too. Been doing homework all day and now feeling really tired. Good food day with all the meals and snacks.
Wednesday
Mostly rest, finished a big school project and ate alright.
Thursday
A day of waste :D Mostly spend with Emmi eating junk food and watching New Girl. Feels good to do nothing some days!
Friday
Program 15 WO1
Best day at the gym! I love being at OPC because it's all so new and clean, plus it makes such a big difference to have coach there! Bit of a deload session but still pushed my front squat to 43kg, really pleased with it! Also tried the DB bench press with 12kg and it went pretty well, gave me confidence.
Mixed day food wise, had some muesli, protein smoothie, (non vegan) panini (urgh), vegan hot chocolate, and thai food in the evening. I think I'm eating too much, I keep feeling tired after my meals.
Had 2 non alcoholic beers and didn't crave booze! Over two weeks on the cleanse now.
Saturday
Watched roller derby all day! It was truly inspiring and I can't believe the level of athleticism in Europe and D1 in general at the moment! Saw a lot of friends but also felt quite sad being there, some people weren't very friendly and I felt like an outsider. I think I just miss playing a lot.
Sunday
Program 15 WO2
Good times at the gym where Vlady gave me some good pointers on the clean and push press.
I went ice skating for about 20min and it didn't feel as bad as I thought it would. Played around with the puck and worked on my backward crossovers. Then range in the evening.
