Week 4 - 12-18.06.2017
Monday
Program 15 WO1
I'm having a tough time. I feel exhausted physically, mentally and emotionally.
I pulled myself together today and ate properly. Had a fairly ok workout with slow progression but did my best and stayed focused on the task at hand without falling to negative thoughts. I went to practice my headstand, as it should help me develop the core stability and proprioception needed for handstands. I started my summer studies and we went to see Wonder Woman with Emmi.
Tuesday
Rest day, spend most of it working by the lake and tanning!
Wednesday
Great workout day, I had high energy levels. Happy to see lunges feeling better than before, probably because I am not skating at the moment so the stress on my groin muscles/ligaments isn't as high.
Thursday
Rest day, did a lot of work and got some life admin taken care of.
Friday
Session at OPC, we worked on power cleans and it's getting a bit better!
Then we tested my 1RM n front squats and I got a PR at 53kg!
Did some pull ups as well and it's so clear I've detrained on those, but I feel it's also coming back as quickly as it left.
Saturday
Team Finland camp! I was coaching but also fooled around a bit with Auriane and enjoyed the mini outside gym they have in Pirkkala. Then a nice evening with a quick dip in the lake and sauna.
Sunday
Camp day 2. Got to jump in for a few minutes on a drill with the guys and it felt GREAT. I miss playing so much and while I overcommitted and have lost some range of motion, I think I was doing quite well, wall work is still in me! Also did small apex jumps on Auriane standing still.
50/50 week food wise, still struggle to plan best with travelling!
